Grill Trends for Summer 2017
It’s grilling season and there are two hot grill trends to be aware of. First, there has been a wood-fired revolution in grills and Ace has the leading brand.
Traeger is the original wood pellet grill. Traeger owners and BBQ enthusiasts agree that the wood-fired flavor is what they love most about their Traeger grill because it simply tastes better than charcoal or gas. And the Traeger wood-fired grill is versatile – it can be used to smoke, grill, roast, bake, braise and barbecue. It’s very easy to use, you just set the temperature, like you would with your kitchen oven, and know that you will get a consistent cooking temperature.
With the newest Trager, the Timberline, you can adjust your grill from the couch, or across town, with the WiFIRE® controller. It lets you adjust the smoke, set timers and change or hold set temperatures from 165°F to 500°F within +/- 5°F** all from your phone via the Traeger App. The pellets are now available in eleven different hardwood varieties for great flavor combinations, and leave very little ash.
The second grill trend is to use the ancient, Asian-style grill, or Kamado. Many Ace Hardware stores carry the Big Green Egg, the most advanced and most popular Kamado cooker. The advantage to the Big Green Egg is that the air-tight ceramic cooking chamber retains heat, keeps food moist, and allows for precise temperature control. The Egg uses lump charcoal made in the USA from natural oak and hickory and like the Traeger wood-fired grill, the Big Green Egg is versatile and can be used as a grill, an oven or a smoker.
