Twende Solar’s New Baja Project

What is Twende Solar

SunPower by Milholland Electric and owner Brian Milholland have once again teamed up with Twende Solar to provide under-served populations around the world with renewable energy solutions. Twende Solar is a nonprofit organization that goes around the world installing solar to help the 1 billion people lacking basic energy needs. It’s a cause near to Brian’s heart; he is committed to providing everyone access to renewable energy solutions.

Twende Solar’s New Baja Project

Companies like SunPower by Milholland Electric are able to use their skills to bring electricity to those in need through Twende Solar. Twede is currently working on a trip to San Juanico in Baja California Sur to bring electricity to a medical facility that currently only has electricity a few hours of the day. The lack of consistent electricity limits the amount of help they can provide to the community because they cannot properly refrigerate medication or vaccines.

Twende plans to install an off-grid system with solar panels and a battery back up to provide the clinic with electricity around the clock. SunPower by Milholland will be launching this initiative from San Diego, and Brian and his team will be driving the materials shipped from Twende down to Mexico.
